Now
let’s briefly take a look at the process by which
Fizogen develops its scientific break-through supplements:
There are several steps Fizogen takes in conceptualizing
and bringing to market products that establish new benchmarks
of excellence, quality and value to supplement consumers.
The first step of this process involves identifying a
consumer need in the industry. In the case of THE BURN,
the need was obviously weight management. Fizogen then
consults with a select panel of scientific researchers
to uncover potential ingredients to utilize in its formulations
that are DSHEA (Dietary Supplement Health and Education
Act of 1994) compliant and further select ingredients
with the most credible scientific evidence supporting
the desired benefit. This step of consulting with an
advisory panel of scientists, doctors and researchers
alone is a procedure only very few companies perform
in product development. Believe it or not, you could
most likely count the number of companies that actually
practice this very important policy on one hand! Are
you starting to get the picture yet as to why Fizogen
products are so highly respected in the industry?
Next, after a preliminary combination of ingredients
are selected, existing scientific data is used to review
their reasonable use in commerce with respects to toxicity
and structure function claims. Once this process is complete,
raw materials are then sourced and samples are obtained.
These are then validated using HPLC testing along with
supplier provided certificates of analysis to insure
quality. Next, intra-company beta testing is performed
on random volunteers to insure product performance and
proper dosing requirements. This testing is mandatory!
The first beta testing volunteer to try these formulas
is always Chief Product Development Officer and CEO of
FIZOGEN, Daniel Amato.
After beta testing is complete and “real world
results” are satisfactorily obtained, Fizogen’s
scientific advisory panel conducts a final review process
of structure function claims, including reasonable product
safety and efficacy. Careful planning is taken to insure
that manufacturing procedures meet GMP and all of the
highest possible standards. The products then may be
released to the market! Additionally, independent double
blind randomized placebo-controlled studies may be performed
to further document product efficacy and reproducibility
of anecdotal claims in an independent laboratory setting.
Now, that is pretty impressive considering most companies
don’t do any of the above. The dietary supplement
industry is to a large part unregulated, which leaves
a lot of room for poor quality products to appear in
the market place. So be very careful, when buying supplements,
to not be fooled by marketing hype… When it comes
to putting up the money required to match the advertising
